HECETA HEAD LIGHTHOUSE
The Heceta Head Lighthouse was a special project for ARCIFORM to work on. An incredible team of craftspeople was needed to restore this lighthouse in its beautiful location on the Oregon Coast.
THE CHALLENGE
Pioneer Waterproofing was the lead general on this project and ARCIFORM was called in for the specialty woodwork items including the doors, flooring and casework. Remote locations, specialty materials, the most extreme conditions and the attention to detail required by all of the government agencies involved was met by the carpentry skills and management skills for the Heceta Head Lighthouse project.
MATERIALS AND CONDITIONS
Materials included Alaskan Yellow Cedar, stainless steel and brass fasteners and each had to be verified to be made in the United States. High sustained winds and a brutal coastal environment are conditions that ARCIFORM works in and the conditions for which they build.
