1922 COLONIAL, WHOLE HOUSE REMODEL IN THE HILLSIDE NEIGHBORHOOD

The family had just purchased this home when we were referred to them to help bring it back to its original beauty after extensive work done in the ‘60s and ‘80s. In the process we became good friends and ended up designing the remodel of their next home in Atlanta a few years later.

OVERALL

The house mostly needed some cosmetic upgrades, except for the den, kitchen and the master suite. We restored and painted or refinished all the surfaces.

KITCHEN

The kitchen had been remuddled with dark cabinets and a convoluted use of space. ARCIFORM created a beautiful and functional room that opens directly to a cozy seating nook and formal dining room, overlooking the antique rose garden at the rear of the house. The large space enabled us to fit in an island and casual seating area as well as plentiful cabinetry and counter space. Their classic East Coast aesthetic blends beautifully with the original Colonial detailing of the home.

MASTER SUITE

The goal for the master suite was to introduce glamour. Our client looked for a sense of luxurious calm in the private spaces of the home. We took over a hallway to create a large walk-in closet and remodeled the bathroom with wood floors, Carrara marble counters and crystal-shaded lighting fixtures. The marble-tiled shower is spacious and beautiful.
