1929 TUDOR, WHOLE HOUSE REMODEL IN THE SW HILLS

ARCIFORM met the owners of this home in 2008 to help them remodel this Tudor, which they had just purchased. Not only have we done so over the years, but we have also become very good friends in the process. The excellent bones of this house needed little help, but the flow and functionality of the original spaces were lacking. We created a master plan and are working our way through making it a reality.

MAIN FLOOR

We moved the dining room into the study and the study into the dining room to better connect the kitchen to both the living and dining rooms, as well as the outdoors. The dining and living rooms were opened to the back porch with three new French doors, and we built a covered area over the back porch. The spaces were updated and the owner’s collections of antique lighting and cabinetry are an integral part of the overall feel.

MASTER BATH AND LAUNDRY CLOSET

We took over the original sewing room to create a master bath inclusive of a WC and a walk-in shower. The washer, dryer and laundry sink face the second-floor landing and provide a convenient and beautiful space for this professional couple to do their laundry.
