What inspires you most about your job?

I often feel very lucky to work with people who have an incredible depth of knowledge of the building trades and enthusiasm for the details.

 

How long have you worked for ARCIFORM?

I started working here in 2018. 

 

What did you do before this job?

Before this I worked on oilfield boats, worked at home depot, fixed wooden boats, did some construction, adventured a lot with my partner. We spent one summer touring with a circus. (She was the strongwoman.)

 

What type of training/education do you have? 

I studied marine transportation at a maritime academy. Later on I completed a program in wooden boat building at a community college in Seattle. 

 

Where did you grow up?

Homer, Alaska.

 

What do you like to do outside of work?  

I like exploring new places in Oregon with my family. We recently got a new, bigger canoe (that's been fun)

 

What's your favorite part of your job?  

Favorite part of the job is building relationships with coworkers and clients.

 

Which is your favorite Portland neighborhood?

I think Sellwood. The homes there are a little smaller. There are so many unique versions of styles you see elsewhere in town. It also has a lot of trees and nice parks. It's a bit more relaxed.
